E-Billing Information
Introduction to E-Billing
Save Paper - And Manage Your Finances Online
Beginning with the Fall 2004 term, Columbia University will replace printed, paper Student Account Statements with a convenient electronic billing system for all students to view their bills and make payments online. This system is the official method of generating student bills, and replaces the printed billing method; paper bills will no longer be printed for enrolled students.
Through the new E-Billing system, an email will be sent to each student's official Columbia address every time a new Student Account Statement is ready. The statement can be viewed online, at our secure E-Billing website, accessible through SSOL with your normal Columbia UNI and password. As a convenience during the transition to E-Billing, the first two Student Account Statements of the term - July 2004 and September 2004 - will be sent to all students through the mail as well as electronically. You should receive the July statement no later than August 1, 2004; your E-Bill notification email will be in your Columbia email inbox no later than July 26, 2004.
The Columbia E-Billing system is convenient, easy to use, and secure. Features and benefits include:
- 24x7 access from anywhere with an Internet connection
- Secure log-in via Student Services Online (SSOL), using your UNI and password
- View your monthly Student Account Statement online
- Make payments online directly from your checking or savings account without ever having to use postal mail or write a check
- Students can enable others to become "Authorized Payers" to view the bill or make online payments
- Access to 12 months of prior statement and online payment history
- Ability to access and print a PDF of the paper bill
- Automatic enrollment in the system without any cost or sign-up
