Columbia Payment Plan

For students and families who prefer making monthly payments, an interest-free, low cost plan administered by Academic Management Services (AMS) is available. You may contract for both the Fall Term and Spring Term for a $70 fee and make 10 monthly installments for your budgeted amount, or you may choose to contract for only one of the terms for a $40 fee and make 5 monthly installments.

You may use this plan for the entire amount of your student account balance or for a portion of the amount owed. AMS will transfer payments to Columbia on a routine basis. All payments received at Columbia will be listed as actual payments on your Student Account Statement while the remaining amount of your budget will be listed as an anticipated credit. If your contract amount is listed on your Student Account Statement and there is still an amount due, you must increase your contract amount with AMS or pay Columbia directly for the outstanding amount in order to avoid late payment fees.

Payments for the academic year or Fall Term only plan begin on July 1, and for the Spring Term only plan on December 1. The deadline for applying for the academic year plan or the Fall Term only plan is September 2, and for Spring Term is December 31. If you enroll after the start of the plan, you will be required to make any missed payments at the time of enrollment.

For more information, you may call AMS from 8am to 10pm ET Mondays through Fridays, or from 9am to 3pm ET on Saturdays, or visit their web site at www.tuitionpay.com.

There are a number of other payment methods accepted by the University:
