Payments

Online Checking

You may make an online payment that will debit your checking account if it is drawn on a U.S. bank.

You may also authorize one or more other individuals to make this type of payment on your behalf. To do so, you will be asked at the servicer's site to create a login ID and password for the person for whom you wish to grant authorization. You must then give that login ID and password to the authorized person in order for access to the system to be granted.

Only students and student-authorized individuals with assigned login IDs and passwords will be able to make this kind of payment. If they so choose, authorized individuals may change the original login ID and password when they first access the system to protect their information from being viewed by other authorized individuals or by the student.

This service is available by internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your student account will be updated with the payment information within two business days.

Students may access this payment system through Student Services On-Line (SSOL). To protect students' privacy, authorized individuals other than students will have direct access to the servicer's site rather than going through SSOL.

If you have a hold on your account due to an outstanding balance and need to have it removed immediately, make note of the confirmation number you are given after your electronic payment has been accepted. Contact Student Accounts in 210 Kent Hall at (212) 854-4206 (where you may bypass the messages by pressing 3 and then pressing 1), or through email at sfs@columbia.edu. With the confirmation number, SFS staff will be able to verify payment and manually remove your hold if applicable.

If you are the student and wish to make an online payment, or wish to authorize another individual to be able to make an online payment on your behalf, click here.

If you are an individual who has been authorized to make an online payment and have been given the appropriate login ID and password by the student, click here.
