AP/CAR for Windows requires 50mb free disk space, 64 Mb of RAM, a SVGA monitor capable of doing 800x600  and a Pentium 120 mhz or greater processor to install. Either Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows 95 or Windows 98 can be used. A working copy of your Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer must be installed to access the internet.

AP/CAR for Windows will install itself gracefully on most users' machines. Installation is a two step process consisting of downloading the installation program using your Internet browser, and then executing the downloaded program.

Notes:
Please quit all other applications before installing AP/CAR.

Please run the "Get CARProd Image" after completing the installation to bring AP/CAR up to date. When the image is finished downloading, you can  run the "CARProd".

To delete an icon, right click on it and select delete; then answer 'yes' when asked if you want to do the deletion.

Click on the Download AP/CAR  Installation Package.

Click on the Download AP/CAR for Windows (Production) link on the page depending on your operating system . This will start the download of the AP/CAR Installation program.

When the download starts, you may be asked how to handle the file. Select 'Save' so that the file will be saved to disk. If the Internet browser is already configured to load .EXE files then it will perform this step automatically.

A Save File dialog box will appear so that you can tell your Internet Browser where to store the installation file. You should store the file in the C:\ directory. Write down the location where you store it, because you will need to find it again.

Your Internet browser will download the installation program to your hard drive (C:\). A message box will appear on the screen showing the progress of the download. The installation program is several megabytes long, and can take from a few seconds (on a fast connection with little traffic), to several minutes (on a slow or modem connection or if there is much traffic).
